Finally I'm done with the front right fender! Scrapping the trunk paint to bare metal Couple of holes for a rear OEM spoiler. Need to cover them holes again. Spray primer before applying body filler... this will prevent rust from building up underneath.
Getting started with the front right fender. Body filler so thick this only means one thing, this car was involved in a fender bender. This will take forever... Time to use the grinder! After grinding the panel's body filler to bare metal, spray primer paint first before applying new body filler. Apply and sand down body filler as thin as possible.... para "tunog lata pa din" Smooth and straight... just a few pin holes to cover. libre katok! Another thick layer of body filler.... My assistant Loki!
Took me weeks just to finish one panel. I have to expose the original color and remove all the body fillers and paint cracks underneath the Metallic blue paint. Metal seems to be straight but somebody filled it with unnecessary body filler. Removing body filler is such an arduous task. Factory color Different layers of color paint, primer and body filler. Cracked original paint. The previous painter did not scuff the original top coat I'm no pro yet but I know that's a big NO-NO! Paint coming off easily. Horrors underneath. Will be posting updates soon.
