Faded rear bumper needs new coat of paint. Prep the area that you will paint. Sand it down using 1000 grit sand paper. Clean it afterwards to remove dirt and grease. Mask off the areas you don’t want to be painted Spray at least three (minimum) coats of white paint as your base coat (get the color code to match the exact color). Pearl is sprayed separately but let the base coat dry first. Four to five coats of pearl should be good. After that you can now spray the clear coat to finish it off. Let the paint dry before sanding and buffing After 3 step waxing Pearl paints add depth to the base color, and bend the light to throw off a soft glow or even shift colors under certain angles.
I'm officially done.... It's not perfect but I'm happy with the result no spray booth to begin with and sudden changes of weather. Slight drizzle while taking photos Polished the whole car too Well that's that, I'm out!
Sun is out... Finally I get to see the color under the sunlight. Uuugghhh color doesn't match... *slow clap Oh well... Back to sanding... ...and masking. Lesson learned... Best to test spray first to see if the color matches. Fast forward...... Done painting the bumper, trunk and spoiler. After two tries and three trips to the paint store... I'm officially done! I have not sanded and buffed the car yet but the finish looks shiny already. Can I get a high five?!
